Trevorrow House was built in the 19th century and has been completely renovated to a high standard to comfortably accommodate up to 5 adults (for more guests, please ask us). There are 3 bedrooms; two double (one with en-suite WC and shower) and one single, and a bathroom with WC, bath and shower. A cot is also available. All beds have duvets and pillows, but you will need to bring duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases and towels with you. Downstairs, the kitchen-dining room is beautifully presented, with built in dishwasher, washer-drier, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, ample cupboard space and work surfaces and a comprehensive range of equipment and utensils. There is seating for 6, plus a high chair.The kitchen is very well equipped, and the dining area is a lovely place to sit and read (with saffron bun!) or eat – alone or together. In the lounge, there is a television, CD/DVD player, and plenty of toys and games. There are also leaflets and local interest books in the house. Outside, there is a small pebbled garden to the front,
Sid did many of the paintings in the house, in particular the larger ones, and Jo collected all the pottery and books (and took the photos on the website). We like the lightness of the rooms and the space. There is room for children to play in the lounge, or draw in the dining area and Newlyn Green is literally a minute away if fresh air is needed!
Travelling south on the A30 to Penzance town centre, at the railway station, follow signs to Newlyn, Mousehole and the seafront. Keep on this road for 1.5 miles, passing the harbour, Jubilee outdoor pool and promenade on your left. Trevorrow House is just past Newlyn Green and Art gallery on the left. We suggest you park outside to unload. There is modest parking for one car, additional on-street parking opposite the art gallery and car parks in the village.
Conditions of hire
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. Trevorrow House is available from 2pm on your day of arrival. It must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Please leave the accommodation clean on departure. In order for us to confirm your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of £100 per week must be sent with the booking form. The balance of the total rental must be paid not less than 8 weeks before the proposed date of arrival. Keys will be forwarded to you by post once the rental on your stay had been received, and in the week before your holiday. It is always advisable to arrange holiday insurance.
